"Straight out from the Estate across
the narrow Somosomo Strait is the 32 km long
spectacular Rainbow Reef. Living readily up
to its name this reef displays a myriad of
colors from the air, as well as underwater.
No great surprise that this famous dive destination
is rated as one of the top dive spots in the
world. And due to its remoteness and responsible
management it is in pristine condition.
The dazzling display of beautiful soft
corals, including gorgonians and alcyonarians
readily thrive here in vast numbers due
to the steady currents. Lazy drift dives
are standard here, all you have to do is
float and enjoy the view. All the action
is in the top 26 meters of crystal clear
water. Water temperatures are a comfortable
average 26-290C all year round.
Another place of interest on the northern
side of Taveuni,is Waitaba Marine Park,
which was created in 1998. Giant clams and
many other species are now thriving here.
This 1km long marine park along the coast
is protected by the local villagers. It
is signposted along the road and you can
enjoy a cool drink and talk with the proud
protectors in a traditional bure".

Introduction
The Fiji archipelago has hundreds of spectacular
and renowned dive sites scattered throughout its
waters, many of which are situated directly off
the shores of Taveuni Island.
Taveuni Dive has over 36 years'
experience in the diving industry. The dive
centre, conveniently situated on Taveuni Estates,
is no more than a 15 minute boat ride from some
of Taveuni’s world-famous dive sites, including
the ‘Great White Wall’
(an almost luminescent wall of soft coral) and the
extensive and colourful ‘Rainbow
Reef’.
Safety first
Our team of highly qualified
and experienced PADI instructors and dive masters
are committed to your safety at all times. Our
primary dive boat at Taveuni is the Divers
Reef, a 28-foot custom built fiberglass
dive boat with a canopy and small ladder, carrying
a maximum of 8 divers, 2 guides and a captain.
Divers Reef and all
the other boats used by Taveuni Estates Dive are
fully equipped with safety
equipment and are manned by qualified
professionals. Our docking facilities are
in a protected marina for your convenience and
safety. We also have the latest rental gear and
dive computers for hire. All of our dive packages
include the boat and a guide, along with equipment
(such as weights, belts, tank, fills), towels
and refreshments.
With 36 years under our belt as a PADI facility
of the highest regard, we pride ourselves on our
professionalism and quality excursions. We also
have a sister company called Divers Reef in Colorado,
USA.
For newcomers to the world of diving, we offer
safe and expert training
by qualified PADI dive instructors. This
is your ideal opportunity to learn about the wonderful
underwater world that lies in the warm waters
of the Pacific.
Underwater wonderland
Divers travel from around
the globe to see Taveuni's amazing corals for
themselves. The area is so highly regarded
that the Wildlife Conservation
Society are working with Fiji to establish
a World Heritage Seascape
to protect the waters between the biggest islands.
Along with the spectacular coral, divers can discover
a huge array of colorful reef fish, giant traveli,
many different sharks, the occasional manta ray
and much, much more.
Accommodation
Taveuni Estates Dive offers an excellent selection
of island resort and house rentals for the duration
of your stay.
We have accommodation to suit all budgets and
requirements and will be pleased to assist with
all your arrangements for a comfortable and memorable
stay.
Our operation is part of Taveuni Estates and so
we are able to offer free golf, tennis and use
of our exclusive clubhouse and pool to all divers.
